Lose Weight by Walking – Excerpts
Day 0
Michael was in despair as he walked out of the doctor’s office where he had just been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. His wife had insisted he gets himself checked after he developed a host of symptoms – fatigue, regular yeast infections, and polyphagia. Now the verdict was out and the doctor had given him strict instructions regarding changing his diet and getting more active.
Michael had tried to get active many times, but each time he attempted an exercise program, it had been cut short due to severe knee pains followed by a loss of interest. Now, a lifestyle change for Michael had become a matter of life or death and he pondered on how to get into the habit of exercising regularly.
During his research, Michael came across my work and asked for my help. He wanted to lose weight but shared that he found it hard to cope with rigorous exercise routines. I suggested we started by walking. He was thrilled with the idea, signed up and we got started.
This book details Michael’s attempt to get healthy and me rooting for him to succeed
Day 30
I had not seen Michael in a month, although we had kept in touch and I was able to monitor his progress remotely. He approached me with a wide smile on his face and appeared eager to show me his new look.
“Wow, Michael you look great!” I exclaimed.
“Thanks, Dammy, I feel great too.” He responded.
“Tell me about your experience so far?” I asked.
“I am full of energy now and I have lost 8.2kg in the past 30 days. It’s the most progress I have ever made with weight loss and to think I achieved it mostly by walking and eating a healthy diet. I am beyond ecstatic.” He responded.
“I am really happy with your progress. How did your doctor’s visit yesterday go? What did he say?” I probed further.
“He was shocked the moment he set eyes on me and asked for the usual tests to be carried out. When the results came in, he affirmed that whatever I was doing was working and suggested I keep at it.” I had no plans to stop.” I said.
So, Michael kept his word and has been getting better with each day. Michaels story is inspiring but he started just like you, searching for a way to get healthier. Let Michael’s story inspire you to start today. You can also lose weight, keep it off and now you know exactly where to start… walking.
